Our founder, Kazuo Miyake, an attorney who trained in insurance law at the Kyoto University Faculty of Law, opens the Kazuo Miyake Office in Osaka.

Three lawyers working under Kazuo Miyake become partners (the late Kazuo Chimori, Masanobu lrie, and the late Hidefumi Sakamoto). The Miyake Joint Partnership Law Office forms as a full business partnership, adopting a new approach in Japan for the time, as a step to build client confidence.

Moving further in the same direction to adapt to changes in the Lawyers Act, the firm incorporates as Miyake & Partners and opens the Tokyo office.
